Meet Naomi Abbott
Naomi Abbott is a leadership coach and facilitator with over 20 years' experience helping leaders and leadership teams strengthen their effectiveness and have the attuned, potent impact they're intended to.
Her work attends to the whole person, not simply the leadership role they occupy. Grounded in the belief that who we are shapes how we lead, relate and influence, Naomi helps people bring more of themselves to the way they lead.
The Road Less Travelled
Despite being fascinated by human behaviour from a young age, Naomi initially embarked on a career as an accountant in various commercial settings. The tragic loss of a close family member became a turning point, awakening a deeper calling to help people thrive.
For more than 20 years, Naomi has channelled her lifelong awe at the wonders and complexities of being human into her work with leaders and teams across all levels of organisations.
Experience & Approach
Naomi’s experience spans Financial Services, Professional Services, Education, Airlines, Property, Technology, Hospitality, Government, and Non-Profit organisations.
Her work integrates insights from neuroscience, psychology, systems thinking and leadership development, drawing selectively on evidence-informed frameworks including Leadership Circle®, Conversational Intelligence® and Acumen Global Partners' whole-system approach to strategy, culture and behaviour.
The frameworks support the work, but they don't define it. Naomi's strength lies in translating insight and theory into embodied, practical shifts - creating the right balance of support and stretch for people to think more deeply, expand perspective and see new possibilities. She considers it a privilege to be invited into the conversations that matter most.
Why Conscious Presence
Naomi's philosophy of conscious leadership was reflected back to her during a strategy discussion for her son's school, when parents were asked:
What would you like to see in 30 years from now, as a result of your children having been educated and nurtured at this school?
Naomi imagined adults who were:
Deeply grounded and connected to themselves
Attuned to others, society and the planet
Able to draw on their own wisdom while remaining open to the perspectives of others
Willing to bring greater consciousness to the complex human, technological and environmental challenges of their time.
